Plan the perfect 2026 for your CIC with this 4 part strategy

Some food for thought as we wrap up our festive break and begin to think about going back to work mode next week!

If your anything like me you will be thinking how lovely it was to relax this last couple of weeks, but also how you love your CIC work and can’t wait to get back to it. Added to this, is that niggling thought… ‘if only I had the money to work when I want and on projects I love without the stress, burnout and hassle that come with juggling my main job and doing all the jobs in your CIC’!

I can see a lot of you are lost, overwhelmed and risk burnout.

It honestly it can be simple and easy, if we would only stop over thinking and streamline our output.

Here are my four strategy tips. I will go into these in more depth and set you actionable easy actions to follow in my live challenge open to all Jan 8th at 8pm go sign up www.kexx.co.uk/signup

  1. Grant search first and choose grants with priorities you can design a project for. Sounds obvious but most of you have a project idea you are fixed on when actually it’s best to design a project to fit a grant. It insure the grant funded will be happy and awarded and not reject on it doesn’t meet our priorities. Have a go and find 5 grants with priorities you can think of a project to match. January will see lots of extra grants so there are plenty to apply for!

  2. Next, think about what your target is for time and personal income. No point choosing a project that takes up loads of time with little room to pay you. Think about what your income goal is this year. Set the target higher than you need so you give your business room to grow with the extra money for investment in training, hiring staff or services.

  3. Fundraising needs to be a key part of your 2026. Plan out a set number of fundraising activities now. Don’t waste time collecting pennies you need a serious plan to gain high ticket donations or sales. A fundraiser that’s little to no work from you. Get volunteers to do the fundraising. This money is great income as unlike a grant you can spend however you like. Think of a quarterly fundraiser idea and a strategy.

  4. Lastly, a CIC needs to be selling. Try to keep it passive or at least very little work. Online income is ideal as it is to a bigger audience with unlimited growth. Unlike in-person work that takes you time and has a limit to how many people you can service. I’m a big fan of online courses and paid memberships. In my opinion every CIC should have these. So quick to set up and get earning with. Write an idea for a online course or paid membership.

I know your thinking of that’s all good but I don’t have the time.

I bet you I can get all these set up for you in 20 mins each!!!!

I can!
